The mission of the Ladder Project program is to provide homeless men a safe, supervised, substance-free living environment that is supportive of full recovery from alcoholism and/or drug addiction, and the return of the individual as a productive member of society. The prospective resident will have completed at least four weeks of participation in residential treatment in a recognized program.
After 17 years, on January 8, 2008, the Ladder Project received their New Jersey state license to operate as a certified halfway house. The Ladder is the first halfway house for men in Bergen County.
The Center is dedicated to educating the community about alcohol and drug abuse and advocating for responsive prevention and treatment services.
The Center is a private, not-for-profit community-based organization providing prevention, education, information and referral services to all Bergen County residents.
The fund continues the work started by Father Jim McKenna in order to assist and support those recovering from addiction to alcohol and/or drugs, and to support oranizations that assist those recovering and/or affected from addicition to alcohol and/or drugs.
